Wi-Fi (Wireless Fidelity) is the technology used for a network or wireless connection. It transmits data wirelessly through electromagnetic waves.
The University of Seville Library provides wireless Internet access using this technology in all of its reference reading rooms. This allows users to browse online on their laptops without the use of a cable. This is made possible by ReInUS, the University of Sevilles Wireless Internet Service. Click here for a map of the coverage zones.
To use this service, simply have a laptop with Intel Centrino mobile technology or wireless network card configured as shown below and be under the scope of one of these wireless access points.
For all those people who want to use the service, but do not have wireless network card in each of the libraries that allow such access, there are 3 wireless cards in their loan with drivers (CD) and documentation (for access point ) for students and, in general, any person attached to the University can use. You can check the conditions of using this service at the Library of each loan.
To check the active networks in our team, we must press the right mouse button on the icon located on the inside left of the taskbar and select View Wireless Networks.
To choose one, we double-click the network you want to connect. According to the network to choose, how to connect varies:
EDUROAM: Authentication is done through a client program installed on the laptop.
REINUS-WEB: REINUS-WEB: To use ReInUS requires holding a virtual user of the University of Seville, or if it does not belong to this university, have an email account in any of the institutions belonging to the initiative Eduroam.
NOTICE: From June 30th on eduroam SSID will be the only way to connect to WiFi Network of University of Seville (ReInUS). This SSID can only be used to get to ReInUS documentation and update your system to be able to connect to eduroam.
