What are the external centres?


University Libraries and Research Centres, both in Spain and abroad.

Individual users need to contact public libraries or the nearest university library. We do not accept this kind of requets.

What documents are borrowed?


All library's collections which are included in our Library Catalogue FAMA may be borrowed by interlibrary loan, except from:

  • Manuscripts
  • Journals
  • Old and rare documents
  • Reference books
  • Unpublished theses and dissetartions, without prior consent from the author
  • Printed books before 1900
  • Special collections
  • Very big or heavy books
  • and any document, whose loan could generate some disruption in the academic activities of the university

How to request a document?


Libraries and research centres should complete a request form. Then, you will be registered and sent a password and a code by ILL staff.

Payment shall be done by one of following procedures:

When will the documents arrive and for how long can they be kept?


From our service, a book will usually be sent in ten days, and a journal article in five days. However, postal time must be added to this time. Documents are loaned for one month, if you want to renew yor loans, you should contact the ILL Service.

The loaned documents must be returned in perfect conditions.
