Course for Erasmus Mundus Master Degree on Nuclear Physics students, Faculty of Physics US

The aim of this course is to learn how to search and manage scientific information.
The course content is:
- Introduction to databases: main features and current trends. The selection of the information sources.
- Designing the search strategy: choice of subject, use of keywords or descriptors, the Boolean operators, limiters and facets.
- The first results: how improve and redesign our bibliographic search. Saving and exporting records. The searching history, alerts and other advanced options.
- Practicing in the databases: WOS, Scopus, IEEEXplorer, ArXiv.org, IOP...
- Managing the references and formatting a manuscript or academic work with Mendeley.
